Elwood comes home!

Today we had a new member join our pack!  I guess I should introduce myself & the rest of our pack first before talking about our newest addition.  My name is Cat & my husband, Daniel, & I are huge dog lovers.  We got our first dog together around 4 years ago.  She's a cream Pomeranian named Sadie.  Sadie loves to be petted, chase her ball, and chew on bully sticks.  She's been an only child now for a while now...

All that changed yesterday when our newest baby flew in from Oklahoma!  Elwood is a red sesame Shiba Inu & has been an absolute doll so far.  He is a very happy, confident puppy.  Nothing phases him!  Yesterday we turned the sprinkler on in the yard & he ran to play in the water instead of being scared by the loud machine spitting water at him.

He slept in his crate all night long, with only one short potty break at about 2 in the morning.  He cried a bit at first, but it took him almost no time to calm down and get to sleep.  We woke up this morning & let him out to potty, gave him breakfast, & then took him out for play time in the yard.  After running around after us & his ball for about 30 minutes he decided he was ready to come inside.  Sadie & he chewed on bully sticks for another 15 minutes or so & then he was off to take a nap.
